2010 BC Junior Boys’ Championship - Round One
Svensson, Kozak, Pimental and Vora tied with opening round lead at 2010 BC Junior Boys’ Championship
Courtenay, BC (July 6, 2010) – A foursome of players, including Adam Svensson of Surrey, B.C., Connor Kozak of Vernon, B.C., Mason Pimental of Richmond, B.C. and Yohann Vora of Delta, B.C., fired matching 2-under par 70’s to take the opening-round lead at the 2010 B.C. Junior Boys’ Championship contested at Crown Isle Golf Club in Courtenay, B.C.
Khalen Attien and William Deck of Delta, B.C as well as Kevin Kwon of Pitt Meadows share a piece of fifth at 1-under par 71.
The championship calls for 72 holes of stroke play. Competition continues at the 2010 B.C. Junior Boys’ Championship tomorrow with the second round teeing off at 7:30 a.m. Following tomorrow’s play, Golf British Columbia will award the British Columbia Junior Boys’ Club and Zone champions. The third and fourth rounds are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday respectively.
The top four finishers will represent B.C. at the Canadian Junior Boys’ Championship at the Richmond Golf & Country Club in Richmond, B.C. August 2-6, 2010.
