Local Professionals Qualify for ACC

David Bolton of Pacific Coast Golf Centre and Fraser Mulholland of Seymour Creek Driving Range both qualified
on Monday August 26th. Each fired a 6 under 66 on the Canal Course at Northview. Fraser previously worked at Tsawwassen Golf & Country Club before a brief visit to play in Australia.

Comments from the PGA Pros

Fred Funk

Fred Funk has been on a role since the B.C. Open (no, not British Columbia - from the BC comic strip) Playing well at the John Deere Classic with 64's. At Sahalee, Fred had his own cheering section. I think Fred has almost arrived, and my money is on Funk this weekend.

Daren Clark

Darren Clark likes to fish when not concentrating on his golf game. It is actaully quite a popular pastime to go fishing, espically in B.C. where salmon fishing is a hot spot.

Per-Ulrik Johansson

Per-Ulrik Johansson says he really misses being away from home. The 3 and 4 week stretches do take their toll! Also asked was "How often do you actually try out the demo clubs from the various vendors?" Per-Ulrik uses the clubs that are offered and tries them out on a weekly basis. We are always looking for something new that can help the game. If it does not work, we get rid of it and try something new!

Richard "Moose" Whammock

Richard "Moose" Whammock has been a permanent fixture around the GVO now ACC. Moose is a contractor to the PGA to ensure the courses are "up to snuff" to the PGA Tour Standards. Moose is looking a lot thinner these days since he suffered quite the Heart Attack a few months back.
Glad you are back at it Moose, Thanks for all the FREE "P.R." you have managed to spread around.

Thank you Brian Dale from Golf Buddies for some of the above comments.
