About the Buick Scramble

Men and women of all abilities who have a valid handicap factor can register a team in participating Canadian PGA golf clubs across Canada. In addition to a great day of friendly competition on the links, each amateur participant will receive a $1000 purchase incentive toward the purchase or lease of a new Pontiac, Buick or GMC vehicle. Even more value can be added to the Local Tournament by working with the Local Buick Dealer to sponsor the event. One hundred and seventy-seven local club events were held throughout May, June and early July as Sectional Tournaments were scheduled in July and early August. Winners of local club events advanced to the Sectional Tournament with their Canadian PGA Professional. The Canadian final is hosted at the Legends on the Niagara Golf Club, on August 21. Canadian Champions move on to Grande Lakes Resort in Orlando, Fla., to compete in four days of official competition with more than two hundred teams from across the United States, October 13-16. Tiger Woods returns as the Buick Scramble Honorary Chairman for a fourth season in 2005. Woods, 29, is scheduled to appear at the Buick Scramble National Championships, where he will present the winning trophies to the Buick Scramble National Champions at the awards ceremony.
