Heavy Putter Success Continues on European PGA Tour

The runner-up at the European PGA Tour's Open de Espana put the Heavy Putter B1-M model into play for the first time last week and shot a final-round 72 to force a dramatic playoff yesterday.

Trailing by one shot on the final hole of regulation, he relied on his Heavy Putter to drain a 30-foot birdie putt to force extra holes. Over the course of the tournament, he carded two rounds in the 60s, including a course record nine-under-par 63 with only 25 putts during Friday play.

He joins a global legion of professional golfers experiencing remarkable improvement after switching to the Heavy Putter. Troy Matteson won the PGA TOUR's Fry's.com Open and has recorded several Top-10 finishes using the Heavy Putter, which has also contributed to victories on the European PGA, Asian PGA, Canadian, Nationwide and European Challenge Tours.

"Players around the world continue to realize the Heavy Putter is the only putter that automatically gives them a more consistent stroke," says Stephen Boccieri, President and CEO of Boccieri Golf, maker of the Heavy Putter. "The ability to make pressure putts is essential to being a top professional, and the Heavy Putter helps take all the small, twitchy wrist muscles out of the equation. More players are realizing the significant advantages of switching to a Heavy Putter."

Introduced in early 2005, the Heavy Putter is now carried in all 50 states and in 30 overseas markets. It is found in many of the finest off-course shops and most prestigious golf courses, country clubs and resorts worldwide.

The Heavy Putter's global popularity stems from its unprecedented counter-balance theory of a heavier mass head and weighted grip. This causes greater stroke stability, consistent swing paths, uniform pace, precise distance and directional control, and tightens the end-over-end golf ball roll.

The pioneering weight technology features a 450- to 550-gram head (conventional heads are 330 to 350 grams). The Heavy Putter's unique Weight Management System, a 250-gram weight installed in the grip end, produces a balance point 75 percent higher than conventional putters.

Golfers instinctively activate their larger, more stable muscles, preventing wrist breakdown and creating greater stability and consistency throughout the stroke.

The new Heavy Putter Deep Face Series retails for $169, and is available in two blade and three mallet models. Each can be custom ordered in standard, mid- and long-putter lengths for men and women, and some models are available for left-handed golfers. Contact: 888.PUTTER.4, www.heavyputter.com
