Pro-Am at the Squamish Valley G&CC in honor of Jason Paukkunen
It came as a shock to the Canadian golf establishment, late in 2002, when word first circulated that popular player and golf instructor Jason Paukkunen had passed away.
Jason played professional golf in the United States & Canada, experiencing success in both countries and then in the 1980’s he turned his love of golf and ability to work with people, into golf instructing.
Jason quickly became one of the most popular and sought after teachers in BC. Thousands of golfers, amateurs and professionals alike, from all over British Columbia came to Jason either slicing or hooking and all left hitting the ball better than they ever thought possible.
Now it’s time for all of you who knew and loved Jason to celebrate his love of life and love of golf. September 8th 2004 there will be an 18 hole Pro-Am at the Squamish Valley G&CC in honor of Jason Paukkunen. 18 holes of golf, a BBQ dinner, prizes, laugher (mandatory) and a chance to celebrate the memory of a ‘Good Friend.’
