Laschuk Wins in Sudden Death Playoff 2003 Senior Ladies’ Provincial Championship
Revelstoke Golf Club – Phyllis Laschuk of Point Grey Golf & Country Club wins in a sudden death playoff on the 16th hole at Revelstoke, edging out last year’s Champion Lynda Palahniuk with a final round of 76 to win the Senior Ladies’ Provincial Championship.
Alison Murdoch, the 2002 CLGA National Senior Champion, scores 71 to break the former course record of 75. Murdoch, of Victoria, captures the third spot on the Provincial Senior Team and heads off to the 33rd National Senior Championship in Ontario with fellow team mates, Laschuk, Palahniuk and Holly Horwood.
BC won the 2002 CLGA Senior Team Championship, a result that could repeat with three of last year’s players on the BC Provincial Team returning to defend the title.
