Little Wins her 5th Amateur Title at 2003 Ladies’ Provincial Championship
Beach Grove Golf Club – Jackie Little of Vernon Golf Club came from behind to win her fifth Amateur Championship, beating out local favourite, Holly Sanders of Delta with a final round of 74 to win the Amateur Championship. Going in as the leader, Bree Sharatt of Cupertino, CA faltered on the final day to eventually finish in third.
Next up is the Western Canadian Ladies’ Championship to be held at Vernon Golf & Country Club from July 26-28. Joining Little and Sanders on the BC Team will be Katrina Leckovic, Melissa Newman-Gillespie, Janey Deimling, and Christina Spence. After this, the BC Team heads off to the 90th National Amateur Championship in Quebec, where they will look to bring home the Florence Harvey Cup.
