MALLON AND MCLEAN WIN $10,000 SKINS TEAM CHALLENGE
Vancouver - Meg Mallon and Kirk McLean teamed up to capture the $10,000 Skins Team Challenge today at the BMO Financial Group Canadian Women's Open.
The three-hole challenge featuring LPGA pros paired with Vancouver Canucks was part of the Family Day festivities at Canada's only LPGA Tour event at Point Grey Golf & Country Club.
Red hot putters were the key to victory, enabling Mallon and McLean to shut out rivals Lorie Kane and Trevor Linden, Lorena Ochoa and Darcy Rota, and A.J. Eathorne and Steve Tambellini. The winning team generously donated the
$10,000 purse to the Canuck Place Children's Hospice in Vancouver.
