Svensson runs away with 2010 B.C. Junior Boys’ title
Courtenay, BC (July 9, 2010) – Adam Svensson of Surrey, B.C. played steady and stayed in the top spot over four days to claim the 2010 B.C. Junior Boys’ Championship at Crown Isle Golf Club in Courtenay, B.C.
Svensson shot even-par 72 today to stand with a final 8-under par 280.
“I struggled with my putting this week but my long game kept my score down,” says Svensson. “I was hitting the fairways mostly and felt like I was hitting the ball really well. I had some difficulty today on 12 and 13 but I refocused and got it together.”
Khaled Attieh of Delta, B.C. finished in second at 2-under 286 followed by Yohann Vora of Delta, B.C. in third at 1-under 287. Cameron Davison of Duncan, B.C. and Conner Kozak of Vernon B.C. round out the top four tied at even-par 288.
Representing B.C. on the junior boys’ inter-provincial team to the Canadian Junior Boys’ Championship at the Richmond Golf & Country Club in Richmond, B.C. August 2-6 are Adam Svensson, Yohann Vora, Cameron Davison and Conner Kozak.
