TIM CLARK AND DEAN WILSON HEAD INTO WEEKEND WITH A SHARE OF 2010 RBC CANADIAN OPEN LEAD

Toronto (Golf Canada) – Tim Clark fired a bogey-free, 6-under par 64 today to grab a share of the lead at 10-under with Dean Wilson as the second-round of the 2010 RBC Canadian Open came to a close Friday.

Clark, who broke a winless drought at THE PLAYERS Championship in his 206th career start earlier this year, finds himself at the top of the 36-hole leaderboard for the fourth time of his career. He most recently held a share of the 36-hole lead at the 2008 Deutsche Bank Championship, where he finished T15.

The South African is competing in just his second RBC Canadian Open. He missed the cut in his only other start north of the border which came in 2002.

Dean Wilson sank an 18-foot par putt at the last hole to post his second consecutive 5-under 65 to get to 10-under headed into the weekend. The 65’s are his lowest rounds of the 2010 season.

Wilson, 40, is making his seventh RBC Canadian Open start. His best previous finish in this event is a T14 in 2004. He finished T39 last year at Glen Abbey.

The Hawaii native has held at least a share of the 36-hole lead three times previously, most recently at the 2008 St. Jude Classic where he would go on to finish T13.

The second-round leader/co-leader has gone on to win 12 of 30 times in stroke-play events so far this year on the PGA TOUR.

PGA TOUR Rookie Brent Delahoussaye followed his opening-round, 8-under 62 with a 1-under 69 to finish at 9-under after two rounds and grab a share of third place.

The Greenville, S.C. resident is making his 13th PGA TOUR start of 2010, having struggled with just two made cuts. His best finish of the year is a T53 at the HP Byron Nelson Championship.

Delahoussaye earned his way onto the PGA TOUR as a rookie via the PGA TOUR National Qualifying Tournament, where he finished T23.

Current low-Canadian honors belong to 22-year-old Adam Hadwin of Abbotsford, B.C. The former Team Canada Development Squad member followed an opening-round, 2-under 68 with a 4-under 66 in round two to get to 6-under heading into the weekend.

Adam Hadwin earned his way into this week’s field via the Canadian Tour Order of Merit. In addition to receiving an invitation to the 2010 RBC Canadian Open, he was also extended a chance to compete in this year’s Ford Wayne Gretzky Classic on the Nationwide Tour, where he finished T27.

Following a 2-over 72 in round one, Canadian Golf Hall of Famer, Mike Weir, struggled again in round two with a 4-over 74 and will miss the cut. It will be his 12th missed cut in 20 RBC Canadian Open starts, dating back to 1989.

The start of the second round was delayed two hours from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. ET because of a dangerous weather situation.

Seventy-nine players made the 36-hole cut at 1-under par 139. As more than 78 players made the initial cut, a secondary cut will take place following the third-round to the low-70 and ties.

The following are second-round scores for the 18 Canadians in the 2010 RBC Canadian Open field.
