TOBIANO IS ON THE MAP

Tobiano, B.C.: It is official. Tobiano, the spectacular recreational community under development on the south shore of Kamloops Lakes has been granted its own place name
by the British Columbia Geographical Names Office.

“It really is quite an honour and having Tobiano as a distinct place name reflects not only what we have already created here, but also our long-term commitment to enhance and preserve this very special place,” said Michael Grenier President of Pagebrook, Inc., developer of Tobiano. “We felt that when our magnificent golf course was named the best New Course in Canada by Golf Digest and SCOREGolf, that put us on the map. Well,
now it really is official.”

At the same time, the Geographical Names Office adopted Six Mile Ranch as an official name, referring to the modern ranching operation adjacent to Tobiano. The designation of Six Mile Ranch retains the link to the historic landmark property and aligns with Tobiano’s inclusion of equestrian and ranching activities on the site.

Tobiano is a master-planned, resort community development on 18,000 acres that was once a working cattle operation called Six Mile Ranch. The ranching component continues with hay fields being managed on the east end of the development and cattle
roaming in the back country (17,000 acres). The development portion of Tobiano is a panoramic setting on 1,000 deeded acres along the south side of Kamloops Lake.

When completed Tobiano will include single family and multi-family residences, a golf course, marina, village centre, hotel, and equestrian centre. Ideally located 20-minutes west of Kamloops, Tobiano is just a three-and-a-half hour drive from Vancouver and less than two hours from Kelowna in the heart
of the Thompson Okanagan region, renowned for its wineries and year-round vacation destinations.
