The BC Fresh Egg Cup Makes its Debut This Week
The inaugural BC Fresh Egg Cup is making its debut later this week at the 37th BC Secondary School Golf Championship. The competition starts with single “A” May 25-27 in Osoyoos, B.C. at the Osoyoos Golf & Country Club followed by “AA” May 25-27 in Kamloops, B.C. at Rivershore Estates & Golf Links and “AAA” May 26-28 in Nelson, B.C. at Granite Pointe Golf Club. The winning team in each division will be awarded the BC Fresh Egg Cup.
In 2007, Thomas Haney Secondary in Maple Ridge, B.C. emerged as the AAA Golf Champions. Chatelech Secondary in Gibsons, B.C. claimed the AA championship and Glenlyon-Norfolk Secondary in Victoria, B.C. the A division title.
Past winners of the “AAA” championship include: 2007 Canadian Amateur Champion, Nick Taylor, 1999 BC Amateur Champion, Matt Makinson and PGA Tour players, Jim Nelford, Jim Rutledge and Brent Franklin.
