WEATHER FORCES CANCELATION OF THIRD ROUND AT 2009 CANADIAN UNIVERSITY COLLEGE CHAMPIONSHIP

Heavy rainfall in Hamilton, Ont. on Thursday has forced the cancellation of the third round of play at the 2009 Canadian University College Championship, conducted by the Royal Canadian Golf Association (RCGA) at King’s Forest Golf Course.

With most of the competitors yet to tee off for their third round and unplayable course conditions at King’s Forest, RCGA tournament officials decided to cancel the third round of play and shorten the event to 54 holes.

Play will resume Friday, May 29 at 7:30 am and no cut will be made to the championship field.

The female division will tee off in the morning with male competitors to follow in the afternoon. A revised draw with updated final round tee times will be posted online at www.rcga.org/championships later today.

The following are current 36-hole results for the 2009 Canadian University/College Championships conducted by the RCGA. (Best four of five individual scores count towards the team total).
