NATIONWIDE TOUR STORYLINES – Week of June 29th

Nationwide Tour Players Cup champion Tom Gillis produced 29 birdies on a tough Pete Dye Golf Club course in West Virginia on Sunday to record his first Tour win. The 40-year-old Michigan native captured the title by three shots and immediately dedicated it to his good friend and the good friend of many on the Nationwide Tour, Chris Smith.
NICKLAUS AND FOUR SONS COMPETE IN TOUR EVENT FOR FIRST TIME

The fifth and sixth moments in the Nationwide Tour's "20 Greatest Moments" program were unveiled over the weekend on Golf Channel's telecasts of the BMW Charity Pro-Am and on PGATOUR.COM.
This week’s moments feature Jack Nicklaus and his four sons competing in a TOUR-sanctioned event for the first time at the 2003 BMW Charity Pro-Am and the charitable impact the Nationwide Tour has had on the communities it’s played in over the years.

The Nationwide Tour comes to friendly Valdosta, GA this week for the third playing of the South Georgia Classic. Last year, Canada’s Bryan DeCorso ran away with the title, defeating Bryce Molder and Greg Owen by four shots at the super-long, Davis Love III-designed Kinderlou Forest Golf Club.

CHAD CAMPBELL / ONE OF SEVEN MASTERS’ RUNNERS-UP – In 2007, Zach Johnson became the first former Nationwide Tour player to win the Masters tournament. Several others have come all too close.
NATIONWIDE TOUR STORYLINES – Week of March 23rd

After a strong start to the 2009 season in Panama, Australia and New Zealand, the Nationwide Tour returns to America to launch the domestic portion of its 20th year. This week's Chitimacha Louisiana Open presented by Dynamic Industries joined the Nationwide Tour schedule in 1992 as did tournaments in Greenville, SC and Midland/Odessa, TX.
