MURDOCH CLINCHES SECOND CANADIAN SENIOR GOLF TITLE

Steinbach, MB (September 2, 2004) - Alison Murdoch of Victoria, BC., entered play today just two stokes behind and left claiming her second Canadian senior title in three years.

The Canadian Ladies' Golf Association (CLGA) announced today that it will donate a record $250,000 to the Royal Canadian Golf Association (RCGA) Foundation and in doing so honour Canada's greatest female amateur golfer - Marlene Streit.
Canada couldn't hold on to its three-day lead and finished tied for second to conclude the Women's World Amateur Team Golf Championship in Puerto Rico on Saturday.
Mary Ann Lapointe of Georgetown, Ont., led Canada to a two stroke lead during the opening round at the Women's World Amateur Golf Team Championship held Wednesday in Puerto Rico.
