Ross Marrington, editor for BCgolfguide.com and CANADAgolfguide.com participated and covered this interesting story complete with photos and summary of golf holes played.

The format, play as many holes as possible, play 2 balls on par 3's only such that when 18 holes are played, you have really done 22. Every player gets their own cart, and a bag of balls and tees. Lose a ball? Drop and play - no ball hounds please!

Breakfast, lunch, drinks (& Beverages), power bars, fruit and goodies were served all day by a crew of dedicated volunteers. Many thanks to all that supported this wonderful event. My personal favorite was hole #16 - dubbed the comfort hole. Soothing music, massage equipment and supplies, aromatherapy products, sunblock, and best of all, a few bottles of Scotch - oooeeee! It was smooth and relaxing, too relaxing almost, managed to circulate thru this hole a few times, HA!

Some interesting statistics on playing 139 golf holes

See the Excel spreadsheet below illustrating the # of rounds played, red boxes for pars and green for birdies. I wanted to graph this for viewers so that they could see what would be the results of such long play.

Interestingly enough, over time, my play improved. My ball striking and chipping and putting all improved. Probably as I did not have any pressure, thus no mental barriers. In total of about 18 lost balls with most going missing in the 1st, 2nd & 4th and predominantly on the back 9 (A much tighter layout).

Play started at 7:00am, however my playing partner and new friend Dave Fidler and I started a little early - approx. 6:40am and finished at dusk, my glow owl golf balls came in very handy, wrapping up at around 7:20pm - A Total of 12 hrs and 40 minutes, or 760 minutes of play (power cart of course). At this rate, my 139 holes averaged a per hole pace of 5 minutes, 27 seconds.
