Kelowna Springs
Kelowna Springs, lots of water in play and even more bunkers, well manicured greens and fairways. Newer clubhouse and an 18 hole putting course for the kids.
Ponderosa- Peachland
Ponderosa - situated high in the hills of Peachland, awesome views and a unique log clubhouse. Great food and Pine tree setting.
Predator Ridge Golf Resort
Predator Ridge, 27 holes of great golf. My personal pick, play the Skins 18 and enjoy the day. Service is great and the greens always fast. Add to your play list.
Salmon Arm Golf Club
Salmon Arm Golf Club - Les Furber designed the back 9, and man this is one great track. Playing golf here is quite as you hardly ever see golfers from other fairways. Excellent member driven course and great finishing hole. Enjoy others in the clubhouse, great burgers.
Shannon Lake
Shannon Lake - located in Westbank. Another great member driven course where guests and visitors are always welcome. Small greens, water and bunkers peppered throughout this layout will test your skills. More than what you see as you drive in to the clubhouse.
Sunset Ranch Golf Course
Sunset Ranch, is one of my personal favorites in the valley. Treat yourself and rent a cart, you will be glad you did after the 1st nine. Greens are always in great shape, very friendly staff and a great golf course to test all clubs in the bag. Several tight holes and Scotty Creek sneaks into play several times. Enjoy!
Okanagan Golf Club - The Bear
The Bear Course - Okanagan Golf Club is the newer addition to the club, a more resort style course, and an easy walk for the most part. This course is ideal for couples where the spouse has "perhaps" less experience on the links. Quite a bit of elevation changes on the front nine, with a flatter but testing fairways for the back. Hole 13 is your best chance for an eagle opportunity on this relatively long and straight par 5, with water inplay from your 2nd shot in.
Okanagan Golf Club - The Quail
The Quail Course - Okanagan Golf Club is a classic. Formerly known as Quail Ridge and renamed The Okanagan Golf Club, this is a must for the low handicapper. Fairways are more like targets and shot making is a must here. Fairways are lush and smooth and the greens typically the best around. One of my personal favs!
Vintage Hills Golf and Academy
Vintage Hills Golf & Academy is a recent addition to the valley. This Masters Course has the look and feel of a full size championship but is just 4600 yards and par 63. Do not let that fool you, straight tee shots are required with definite risk - reward opportunities. Vintage Hills is also very youth and kid friendly. My 8-year-old son and I play here often with always-pleasant greetings from the course ranger.
Gallaghers Canyon
Gallaghers Canyon sits above the Kelowna landscape and awaits your test of golf skill. Always in great shape and will leave you hungry for another chance at playing. This is definitely golf cart country, treat yourself and enjoy the day, perhaps a warm up 9 on the Pinnacle course, perfect for the short game.
Harvest Golf Club
The Harvest Golf Club in the heart of Kelowna and an actual apple orchard. Always meticulously kept and customer service 2nd to none, a round at the Harvest is the perfect way to warm up your Kelowna Golf weekend. Fairways are like billiard tables and greens can be very tricky. Bring sunscreen, minimal shade here. The dining room is perfect for a romantic evening and voted one of the best places in town for fine dining.
Hyde Mountain on Mara Lake Golf
Hyde Mountain on Mara Lake Golf Course, now 3 years old and going strong. Situated South of Sicamous on the West side of Mara Lake, 1/2 hr east of Salmon Arm. If you are house boating simply anchor at Hyde Mnt's dock and have the proshop staff shuttle you right to the 1st tee.
