Framed by the Rockies, Purcells and the famous St Mary’s River, the St. Eugene Mission Resort is a spectacular destination for get aways, vacations, conferences and retreats. The Resort includes a full service, four and half star hotel, the Casino of the Rockies and the St Eugene Golf Course, rated by Golf Digest as one of the top three new courses in Canada in 2001. In addition, St. Eugene Mission Resort offers the best dining in the vicinity ranging from clubhouse BBQ’s to casual elegance in our Purcell Grill. Our fitness centre, contains a fully equipped gym, steam room, sauna, year round heated pool and hot tubs, opened May 21, 2005.
Steeped in tradition, the original St. Eugene Mission is an impressive turn of the century stone building. Within its historic walls and the connecting Lodge are beautifully appointed, modern guestrooms and conference facilities.
St. Eugene Mission more than matches the tradition of great golf in the Kootenay Rockies. Designed by acclaimed architect Les Furber, it is indeed a masterpiece in an incredible setting. This large property contained many different environments, says Furber, allowing a freedom of style which is unusual in a single 18-hole layout.
The golf course winds its way through open links land, rolling woodlands and spectacular views of the St. Mary’s River. To the east, the powerful image of Fisher Peak is a dominating feature, while on the opposite side of the valley the Purcell Mountains are etched against the sky.
Guest Rooms
The St. Eugene Mission Resort has a variety of room types available to our guests that are comparable in both style and comfort.
Our Standard and Premier rooms are located in the newly constructed Lodge building with your choice of two double beds or one king bed.
The Deluxe bedrooms are located in the heritage Mission building and present outstanding views of Fisher Peak Mountain or the beautiful lush terrain of our golf course and the Hoo Doo’s beyond.
Suites
St. Eugene Mission Resort has three unique suites. Our Junior Suite is located in the Lodge building and has a beautiful sitting area and a king size bedroom separated by French doors. Similarly, our Kitchenette Suite also has a spacious sitting room with a King sized bedroom, French doors and a patio accessible from the bedroom or living room. This is a stunning suite for entertaining or relaxing.
