Tower Ranch Golf Course - McBroom's Latest Addition to the Kelowna Golf Scene
The concept for Tower Ranch Golf Course, believe it or not, has been on the books and a slow work in progress for the last twelve years according to McBroom.

Hole # 2, par 5 545 yards ( early Aug 2007)
Ross Marrington from BCgolfguide.com visited the golf site and was provided a tour of about 1/2 the course with newly appointed Head Professional Neil Schmidt. The picture above refects the amount of growth in early August, and now that we are in early September the fairways and greens are all looking almost ready to play, however everyone will have to wait until spring 2008.
BCgolfguide.com will be offering Kelowna golf packages with Tower Ranch, as well as 2 other new comers to the valley, Black Mountain and The Rise in Vernon. Lots of options for the Kelowna bound golfer.
Tower Ranch is Tom's 4th project in British Columbia as Tobiano in Kamloops completed and opened this past July. Upgrades to Fraserview and the masterpiece Morgan Creek was McBroom's first course in British Columbia.
McBroom comments "We did revisit the initial proposal and re-jigged allowing for much wider fairways and greater distances from the golf course to the home sites. Golfers will also see that there will be houses only on any one side of the fairways. The distance from center of fairway to the rear lot line of the properties is now 70m, a 30% increase from 50m."
In chatting with Tom, I could sense the amount of excitment as he spoke of the hidden cart paths that would be out of sight as you are on the fairways. Many of the fairways have a saddleback style terrain which means a slightly errant shot will come back to centre, or almost. There is about a 800 foot elevation change between the low and high point of the course, which means the course will be very playable and user friendly with plenty of "Risk/Reward" - this is the excitment McBroom speaks of. Hole number 15 could become the signature hole.
