MacDermott Captures First Callaway Crown
Brice MacDermott of Vintage Hills Golf Club in Westbank won his first professional event in a 4 man, 4 hole playoff on Monday at Shannon Lake Golf Course in Westbank.
MacDermott, Chris Hinton of Vintage Hills, Wes Danyluk of Imkameep Canyon in Oliver and Ian Henson of Sun Rivers in Kamloops were the participants in the playoff after posting 1 over par rounds of 72.
Henson was knocked out after the 1st playoff hole, while Danyluk succumbed on the 3rd playoff hole. Brice finished it off with a par on the 4th hole for the victory. Greg Pidlaski of the Kelowna Golf and Country Club, Rich Chlopan of Kelowna Springs and Shannon Glenesk of Vernon Golf Club finished one shot back after firing 73.
Dean Claggett of Vintage Hills and Myles Johnson of Spallumcheen Golf Club in Vernon rounded out the top eight. The next event on the Callaway IPGA Tour will be next Monday at Vintage Hills.
